We are moving to Sterling, Virginia, 10 miles closer to Washington, D.C. and about 30 minutes shorter drive time. IMCAS: International Master Course on Aging Skin
This past October, Mira Indorf, Certified Laser Technician and Owner of Althea Medspa, attended a convention in Hong Kong, hosted by IMCAS, an international course dedicated to aging skin treatments. The convention focused on aesthetic surgery and dermatology, and featured innovative technologies in cosmetic surgery and medicine.

The International Congress of Esthetics and Spa - Philadelphia 2012
Four of our friendly and experienced staff, Cindy, Daryl, Amy, and Mira, attended the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa (ICES) this past October, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At the trade show, our staff attended educational sessions such as, the General Session, an In-Depth Makeup Class, a Salon/Spa Business Seminar, the Green Summit, an Exhibition Hall, The Natural & Organic Pavilion and manufacturers' workshops!
Althea has many organic and environmentally friendly products and procedures, and were happy to learn more about what is available in the spa industry!

Althea Product Line and Training Seminar
It has been quite an eventful day today at Althea Medspa. This morning, our product representative from Topix Pharmaceutcals Inc., came in to review all of our current Althea Medspa Brand skin care products and their purposes. Furthermore, we were introduced to the new and improvised products that are available for distribution.
Topix Pharmaceutical Inc. is located in New York, where the Topix team of chemists, microbiologists, and lab technicians, work day and night to formulate topical therapeutic skin care products. These FDA approved products can only be purchased through dermatologists, plastic surgeons, skin care professionals, or medical spas, such as Althea Medspa. All of Althea Medspa Brand products are pharmaceutical quality and are meant to rejuvenate and improve skin health.
After our Topix Product Seminar, Mira also had the priveledge of demonstrating and educating our certified technicians and staff on the new procedures available at our spa. In addition to our popular Microdermabrasion and Hydromicrodermabrasion treatments, Althea now offers the two following treatments: Microdermabrasian and Facial, and Hydromicrodermabrasion and Facial. The staff had a wonderful time further learning about skin care, and how to provide the best quality service to our esteemed clients.

This Holiday Season, the Althea staff was extrememly excited to celebrate Christmas together with a magnificent dinner at Magnolia's at the Mill, in Purcellville, VA. The entire Althea family came together to revel in the Christmas Spirit and to enjoy each other's company over fine food and drinks.

This past year has been such an amazing learning experience for all of us here at Althea, and we are so excited for what's to come in 2013! With our growing client base and exploration of treatments within the medspa market, Althea has not only added many new services to our service base, but also expanded our knowledge on the different treatments available around the world.
From AVIVA's organic spray tanning training in Boston, to cosmetic conventions in Hong Kong, and everything in between, our staff has done everything possible to learn more about medical spa services so that we can continue to give our clients the best quality service available.
