Mira Indorf, Certified Laser Specialist III
Mira has a B.S. in Chemistry, a Diploma in Computer Programming, and an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Mira began her career teaching chemistry and mathematics at various universities in the Philippines, where she wrote a laboratory manual for inorganic chemistry that was used as a prescribed laboratory manual in one of these universities. Mira then worked as a research chemist at Colgate Palmolive Philippines, and as a research scientist at the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission, where she studied food irradiation.
When Mira moved to the United States in the 1980s, the computer profession was booming. This prompted her to return to school and obtain a Diploma in Computer Programming. She graduated with honors, near the top of her class, and was hired by the government even before she graduated. Mira worked as a Computer Systems Analyst/Developer for 16 years in various organizations such as Electronic Data Systems, Sprint, Lockheed Martin, etc. before moving on to another chapter in her life.
After Mira's children grew up, she decided again to return to nursing school. She received double scholarships from a local hospital and from a nursing school. Although Mira graduated, and loves bedside nursing, she did not pursue a nursing career and instead chose to work as a sleep lab technician. She became a senior lab technician and trained newly hired sleep technicians for 1st Class Sleep Lab, one of the largest sleep labs in northern Virginia.
When Mira was approaching retirement, she was advised by her sleep lab medical director to study lasers and open a medical spa. That was the best career advice she has ever received.
Mira has been performing laser treatments since 2010. She has been invited to various professional meetings around the country and frequently attends local and international conventions in cosmetic medicine and laser technology. Mira always believes in the value of continuing education.
Mira loves what she does and is very good at what she does. She believes that this is due to her combined education in science and in health care. Her desire to help and make a difference in a person's life has always been her goal and priority.
Mira hopes you will give her an opportunity to provide you with a wonderful service and treatment.
